Gifting A Quilt

This Odd Fellow Star quilt pattern by Cindi Edgerton at averyspecialcollection, is what my nephew and his new bride chose for their wedding quilt. Three years ago! The tissue paper foundations were sew easy to work on, and using many fabrics from my stash I slowly but surely pieced and pieced.

The Blue and White was so pretty.

And still is!

A slow but sure process, and it was exciting to start adding the “big” pieces.

Finally it was ready for borders. I think they’ve been married two years by now!

Quilt camp was a big boost to progress! Now for Borders!

Wanted to keep it simple. But it needed something; a little white stripe?

I takes a lot of pins and time with your audio book to put the pieces all together! Praying all the while for this sweet young couple and their new life together.

Time to remove all the papers. Thank goodness for Cindi’s tissue papers as they are easy to tear away.

I took the time to stitch in the ditch with this quilt and sew glad I did. I used a combination of digital designs by Anne Bright, and Joyce Lundrigan to stich this quilt in layers.

The binding was the simplest part and delivered in time for the 3rd anniversary. God Bless!
